Nana (stylized as NANA) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ai Yazawa. First published as a two-part prologue in Shueisha‘s monthly shōjomanga magazineCookie in 1999, Nana was later serialized in the same magazine from May 2000 to May 2009 before going on indefinite hiatus. Plot :

• Their friendship is tested as Nana K. faces heartbreak, gets involved with Takumi from the rival band Trapnest, and eventually marries him after getting pregnant. Meanwhile, Nana O. rekindles her relationship with Ren, Trapnest’s guitarist, and tries to push Black Stones to success.
• Tensions grow due to jealousy, substance abuse, and media pressure. Tragedy strikes when Ren dies in a car accident. Nana O. begins a solo career while struggling with grief, and Nana K. uncovers painful secrets about Nana O.'s past.
• In the future, it's revealed that Nana O. disappeared, with rumors of her death. Nana K. and friends later learn she fled to England and try to find her.
